2017 Summer Reading Finale

We had about 70 people attend the  2017 Summer Reading Finale!

Ed Popielarczyk was there to create balloon art for the kids along with Janine’s Frostee who generously donated ice cream sundaes!

Altogether, the Summer Reading participants read for a total of 1,209 hours!

Great job reading and thank you making this summer so much fun!

Local history Index updated

We have indexed another box of our Local History Collection and updated our spreadsheet of what is in the collection.

Please click here to view and/or download the latest version of what is in our collection, and if you see an item you would be interesting in seeing, come by during library hours and we would be glad to share.

Mad Science Lego Workshop

Thank you to everyone who came to the Mad Science Lego Workshop! The kids got a chance to become engineers and worked in small groups to build using the Mad Scientist’s kits.  Everyone did such a great job!

Thank you to MassMutual for funding this program through the Volunteers in Action Grant!

Toto the Tornado Kitten

Toto and his owner/author, Jonathan Hall stopped by for a special storytime!  Jonathan read from his book “Toto the Tornado Kitten” which tells the story of how Toto was lost and then rescued in the 2011 tornado in Brimfield, MA.  He also read his other book “Oh, Toto, Where Did You Go?” which talks about all the people and places Toto visits.  Our families had such a blast!
