Stop by the library to pick up your reading log.

For every half hour you read, you earn a raffle ticket for a chance at winning an awesome book bag filled with prizes.

Summer Weekly Programs:

Read with Me :
Ages 1-4  Years. Held downstairs in the children's room Tuesdays at 11:00 AM, July 2nd to August 6th. Children will enjoy a story, activities and a snack. Space is limited. Registration is required

Lego Club: Ages 5 and up

We meet every Monday at 6:30 PM.
No Lego club on July 15th or August 5th.

Due to limited space, registration is REQUIRED for Lego Club. Please call before 5 pm that day if you would like to attend

June 26th:  Summer Reading Registration Begins


June 29th: 10 AM- Noon  in the Ware High  School cafeteria.  STAR WARS SYMPOSIUM! Peter Struzziero presents his highly acclaimed Star Wars Symposium! Peter will be discussing all things Star Wars and invites participants to come dressed as their favorite characters . Bring your favorite Star Wars stuff for show and tell. There will be a history lesson, trivia game, costume contest, puzzles, name that character, and much more.  Fun for the entire family!


July 3rd: 6:00 PM.    Movie night in the Reading Room. All Ages. Movie: TBA 


July 10th: 6:30 PM   Farmer Minor and Daisy the Pig: Farmer Minor does storytelling about Daisy's formative years (all true) with Farmer & Mrs. Minor. We share Daisy noises, give Daisy a treat, and talk about Daisy's pampered porcine life and about how Daisy I and II became such famous pigs. (all due to their love of “Pig Books” and Libraries).  There will be time for petting and pictures. All Ages.


July 11th: 3:00 PM.  Grass Head Guys: Plant grass “hair” on your guys head and watch it grow all summer long! Ages 5 and up.


July 15th: 7:00 PM Bedtime Stories in the Reading Room: Come dressed in your favorite pajamas for storytime.  We will have cookies and read bedtime stories.  Bring a pillow and sleeping bag if you like.  Recommended for ages 2-6.

July 17th: 6:00 PM  HANDS ON HISTORY: Children and Adults will be immersed in the life ways of an American Revolution Continental Soldier.  Touch 18th century artifacts and wear the uniforms of George Washington’s Army, the British Army of King George III, and the French Army.  “This Program is supported in part by a grant from the Ware Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency” Ages 5+

July 24th: 6:30 PM   Dig Into Reading: With Live Animals.  The Zoo in Forest Park will present live animals that dig.  Come see these fascinating creatures.  There might even be a skunk! All Ages

July 31st: 5:00 to 6:00 PM   “I Dig It” ” Tie-Dye Workshop.  Bring a washed white t-shirt to the library and we will provide the dye and instructions to make your very own colorful creation.  This program is very popular and registration is limited to 20 children.  Please call 413-967-9691 if you would like to sign up.  Ages 5 to 12 only!

August 5th:  6:30 PM   Alex the Jester! It’s easy to imagine a court jester – the colorful trickster with bells jingling from his floppy hat. But have you ever seen one perform in real time? A rare treat, indeed! Enter the world of the Wise Fool, and take an inspiring journey to Medieval times. All Ages.

August 7th: 6:30 PM:  Duct Tape Crafts: Join us at the library for an evening of crafts made from colorful duct tape.  Wallets, Flowers, Hair Bows. Ages 6+.  Registration is required.  Space is limited. Call 413-967-9691
