Children’s Room Chromebook and Internet Policies<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Chromebooks:  These are laptop computers with web\nbrowsers.  Patrons may check out a\nChromebook at the Children\u2019s Desk. \nChromebooks MUST remain in the library. \nPlease check your laptop back in at the Children\u2019s Desk. You must fill\nout your name and information on the Check Out Sheet when you check out and\ncheck in your laptop.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
    • A\nparent or guardian is required to provide either a valid ID, school ID or\nlibrary card for a child using a Chromebook or if they use it for themselves.  Please note: children take priority when\nchecking out a Chromebook.  We have\ndesktop computers on the Main Floor for adult use.<\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
      • Chromebooks\nmay be used in 2-hour increments with renewals in 30-minute increments.  You must come to the Children\u2019s Desk to ask\nabout renewals so we may check the waitlist or make note of the renewal.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
        • If\nthere is a waitlist, you may not renew your Chromebook and must check it back\nin after your time is up.  Please plan\nyour time accordingly.  If there is no\nwaitlist, you may renew your laptop at least once in 30-minute increments.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
          • Chromebooks\nmay not be reserved in advance.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
            • These laptops are not filtered, so parents\/guardians are responsible for\nmonitoring their child\u2019s use.   The\nviewing of intimidating, hostile or sexually offensive material is prohibited\nin the library.  If we find a patron\nviewing inappropriate material, he\/she shall immediately be banned from\ncomputer use for the remainder of that day. \nIf there is a second offense, that patron shall be banned for a week\nfrom any computer use.  If there is a\nthird offense, that patron shall be banned for at least one month from any computer\nuse in the library.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
              • You\nmay print black and white as well as color copies off your Chromebook.  We charge .10 cents per black and white page\nand .50 cents for each color page.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
                • We\nwill power off all Chromebooks 15 minutes prior to closing time.  <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                  If a\nChromebook is damaged beyond repair, patron is responsible for replacement\ncosts.<\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
